Kirt Martin

Kirt Martin comes from a family of a self taught pastry chef mother and cuisine chef father which makes him a third generation chef. He is the owner of Snake River Grill which opened in 1995. Snake River Grill’s dedication is to providing service and unique culinary experience to the people in the Hagerman community which made them noticeable to the other places for more than two decades. Kirt Martin uses locally sourced fish, game and seasonal ingredients to create unique dishes. He was sent to China about five times by the Department of Agriculture. Also worked for years at Clear Springs Foods in product development and as a corporate chef. As well as go to Hagerman schools about once a month to lead lessons to the students and show them ways to create dishes you don’t normally see for the past 2 years. Teaches the students to pan fry trout and make a garden-fresh marinara. Most of the ingredients Kirt Martin uses on his lessons come from the school’s greenhouse or community gardens. Kirt Martin and school officials want to expand the offering to more students in the school.
